PTFE, the first fluoropolymer, is a remarkably versatile material. Its hydrophobic, non-wetting nature, high density, and temperature resistance lead to diverse applications. While known for its non-stick properties, PTFE’s uses extend far beyond this. We custom-design PTFE compression molding tooling in-house. For higher-volume projects, we leverage cost-effective molded near-net shapes. These shapes minimize excess material and machining time. We analyze the time and material savings against tooling costs to determine the optimal production volume for custom tooling.
